for Black and Brown Children, Families, and Educators
Radically Transforming Education
The role of our educational system is to teach and guide our youth to become successful members of society.
But our current systems fall short. Not only does it dismiss the realities and impact of systemic racism and oppression but it negatively influences our youth’s sense of belonging, self-worth, and safety, which significantly limits their ability to contribute to the world in meaningful ways.
Our children deserve better. We all deserve better.
Join me as I fight for a better future.
For over two years, I have been engaged in a challenging legal battle with a major educational institution as a plaintiff, standing up for my fundamental rights and the rights of others who have been affected by systemic issues. This fight has cost me job opportunities, strained relationships, and significantly impacted my mental and physical health. It has essentially become my full-time job, and I need all the resources and support to sustain it. These sacrifices, though difficult, have been necessary as I confront an entity with vast resources.
Despite these challenges, I am feeling more recovered and remain deeply committed to this cause.
I now find myself in need of the love and support of my community more than ever.
I will continue to raise my voice with unwavering dedication, fully prepared to carry on this fight—not just for myself, but for our communities. I humbly ask you to join me in co-creating meaningful change, knowing that together, we can build a more just and loving world.
On September 28, 2024, I invite you to stand with me for an afternoon of art, healing, and solidarity. This event is a powerful expression of our shared commitment to justice and healing.
"Stand with Michelle" is an invitation to be part of this vision. It’s about coming together to challenge systemic oppression, celebrate resilience, and support the ongoing mission for justice, equity, and healing.
I am raising funds not only to sustain this mission but also to financially resource myself as I navigate this lawsuit, rebuild, and establish myself and my business. Your presence and contributions will offer me the healing and empowerment I need as I continue this journey.
